PTFE film Introduction:

PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) film is a microporous film made from polytetrafluoroethylene resin using special techniques such as calendering, extrusion, and biaxial stretching. PTFE films can be categorized into clothing films, air filtration films, and air purification films based on their applications. The PTFE film possesses a fibrous microporous structure with a porosity of over 85%, containing billions of micropores per square centimeter with pore sizes ranging from 0.02μm to 15μm.

PTFE film application:

1. PTFE Clothing film:

Utilizing the porous characteristics of polytetrafluoroethylene plastic resin, a microporous film is produced through biaxial stretching. The surface of this film contains billions of micropores per square centimeter, with each pore diameter (0.1μm-0.5μm) hundreds of times smaller than the diameter of water molecules (20μm-100μm) and thousands of times larger than the diameter of water vapor molecules (0.0003μm-0.0004μm). This unique microporous structure enables excellent waterproof and breathable functionality as water vapor can pass through, while water droplets cannot. Additionally, the extremely small and irregularly arranged pores prevent wind penetration, providing windproof and insulation properties. When combined with other fabrics, it is widely used in military uniforms, medical clothing, leisurewear, special protective clothing for firefighting, chemical protection, immersion operations, outdoor sportswear, as well as accessories such as shoes, hats, gloves, and materials like sleeping bags, tents, and rain gear.

2. PTFE Air Filtration film:

The PTFE microporous film possesses unique characteristics such as nodal fibrous structure, smooth surface, chemical resistance, air permeability, flame resistance, high-temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and non-toxicity. It is widely used in atmospheric dust removal and air purification. Products made from this film exhibit high filtration efficiency, reaching up to 99.99% with near-zero emissions. They also have low operating resistance, fast filtration speed, and long service life, making them cost-effective. The film is primarily used in the filtration of flue gas from various industrial furnaces in chemical, steel, metallurgy, carbon black, power generation, cement, and waste incineration industries. The pore size of the PTFE film can be controlled between 0.2μm and 15μm, with a porosity of over 85%.

3. PTFE Air Purification film:

The air purification film is made from polytetrafluoroethylene and formed into a microporous film through expansion and stretching. This film is then laminated onto various fabrics and substrates using special techniques, creating a new type of filtering material. The film features small pore size (0.05μm-0.45μm), uniform distribution, and high porosity. While allowing air circulation, it can filter out all dust particles, including bacteria, achieving both purification and ventilation purposes. It is widely used in pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, microelectronics, and laboratory consumables.
